VLRA technology AGM Batteries

ENERPOWER has a wide range of AGM Vrla batteries (Valve Regulated Lead Acid).

The AGM stands for "Absorbed Glass Mat" and identifies batteries that contain within them liquid acid, but they have absorbent plates glass microfibre. This material traps battery acid like a sponge, increasing the efficiency of the battery in order to obtain better performance for the same size. Inside the AGM battery is a valve that automatically renews the production of energy without having to fill the battery with the addition of acid, and has the task to release gas in the event of overload.

The AGM technology allows to have sealed batteries (sealed) that avoid any acid spills in case they were to fall or tip over. Moreover, AGM batteries require no maintenance and do not require any adding of electrolyte.

AGM batteries are ideal for cyclic use (with many charge and discharge cycles) both for use in buffer mode, as for the UPS.

  • They have a low self-discharge and a lower internal resistance than conventional lead-acid batteries, maintain a more constant voltage and load faster.
